Debuting as the next generation RadioWire RF transceiver for space-critical designs, the MICRF505 measures 5 mm x 5 mm in a MLF package and requires just a few external capacitors, an inductor, and a crystal for operation. The device operates from 850 to 950 MHz and supports frequency shift keyed modulation at maximum data rates up to 200 Kb/s. Other features include a clock-recovery circuit, sensitivity of -112 dBm, programmable output power to +10 dB, 2V to 2.5V operation, and power consumptions of 13 mA in receive mode and 28 mA in transmit mode.
