Bringing voice and data convergence to the small-office/home-office (SOHO) switch market, the DS108 CoSMOS Ethernet switch chip enables low-cost switches to carry voice and data traffic on the same link without affecting the quality of voice traffic. Applications include: eight-port SOHO switches, remote-access routers with integrated Ethernet switch capability, and WAN concentration equipment. The nine-port, 10/100-Mbps switch IC provides full wire-speed Layer 2 switching on all ports and is guaranteed not to drop voice traffic.
