    Integrated support for wireless position location technology is inherent in the Mobile Station Modem (MSM) chipset and system software solutions. Tabbed the gpsOne, the MSM solutions provide what’s claimed as the cost-effective solution for wireless position location technology in a mobile handset for CDMA cellular and PCS networks. It uses a hybrid technique that combines information from GPS satellites and CDMA cellular/PCS networks. By taking advantage of the measurements provided by CDMA base stations and/or GPS satellites, the MSM chipset provides enhanced location services, accelerate the location determination process and provide accuracy for callers in emergency situations.
