Designed for use in avionics applications, the ACT4808 dual monolithic transceiver uses only 25% of the previously required power in standby mode. The device operates at ±12 to ±15V with 5V supplies and offers a voltage source output for higher bus-drive power. It is processed in accordance with MIL-STD-883 and performs the front-end analog function of inputting and outputting data through a transformer to a MIL-STD-1553 or MACAIR data bus. The transceiver is also compatible with MIL-STD-1553A and B, MACAIRS A-3818, A-5232 and A-5690 applications.
