The company has added RS-644 low-voltage differential signaling (LVDS) technology to its line of backplane and interconnect products via several driver and receiver semiconductors. The initial LVDS portfolio includes the FIN1017 single driver, the FIN1018 single receiver, the FIN1019 single driver/receiver, the FIN1027 dual driver, and the FIN1028 dual receiver, all of which operate from a 3.3V power supply and are available in several bit width configurations.
With the ability to support data-transfer rates up to 622 Mb/s, these components claim to be 30% faster than other LVDS technologies currently on the market. Pricing starts at $0.63 each/10,000 for FIN1017 and FIN1018.
