The MoNET S1000 is the first member of a family of highly integrated and scalable voice-over-packet processors. It is said to be the industry's first integrated solution to provide programmable IP and ATM support as well as packet transport across PCI in a single chip. The processor is targeted at integrated access platforms, VoP gateways, multi-service switches, iPBXs, access nodes and base stations. The chip's integrated VoP signal processing includes telephony features, voice compression using a range of industry-standard vocoders, and tail-length independent echo cancellation of up to 128 ms. The processor provides up to 144 channels per chip and is cascadable to higher capacities. The chip was created using the company's Reality Object platform architecture-reusable and scalable hardware and embedded software objects optimized for communications applications.
