Claiming an industry first, the IntelliBLUE BIC2301 includes an embedded Ethernet MAC, promising Bluetooth-to-Ethernet gateways at a fraction of current costs. The device also features RF independence, programmer-friendly APIs, an MII interface, and 32-bit access to external memory. Its core operates at 1.8V. The device is available in a 10 mm x 10 mm BGA package. A development kit, the Pasiphae, includes an extensive hardware and software platform with a wide range of interfaces and software tools.
