Touted as the industry's highest density echo cancellation and voice quality enhancement chips, the OCT6100 series delivers 128 ms of echo cancellation on 128 to 672 channels with a power consumption of less than 3 mW per channel. The devices support a wide range of applications and include features such as noise reduction, acoustic echo control, signaling tone detection, and audio conferencing. Available densities include 128, 256, 512, or 672 channels with 64- or 128-ms tail echo cancellation available for all capacities. Base devices provide standard echo cancellation and VQE functions, including noise matching, manual gain control, adaptive level control, acoustic echo control, and G.168 tone detection. Other devices in the series offer adaptive noise reduction, advanced tone detection, tone generation, full-capacity conferencing, announcement playback, and ADPCM compression. Available in a 16 x 16-mm BGA package, the OCT6100 series is priced at $0.50 per channel each/5,000. OCTASIC, Montreal, Canada. (514) 282-8858.
