Data can be transmitted at its rated speed over distances in excess of 400 ft. The device operates from a 5V supply and will meet its specifications over a ±10% tolerance supply range (4.5V to 5.5V). Other features include a −7V to +12V common mode input voltage range, multiplexed Rx inputs and driver Tx outputs, current limiting, and thermal shutdown.
