Promising more integrated capabilities for line card and XFP module applications while driving down system power, cost and size, the 10-Gb/s S19235 and S19237 CMOS transceivers include electronic compensation and on-chip test and monitor functions. The company’s Inter-Symbol Interference (ISI) electronic compensation technology is said to extend the reach of lower-cost optics. Both devices are designed for use with the company's OC-192 framers, mappers and FEC devices and support OC-192/STM-64, 10 Gb Ethernet, 10 Gb Fibre Channel, and G.709 OTU-2 data rates. Jitter figures for the S19235 and S19237 are 5 mUI and 2 mUI, respectively, and both devices feature a programmable TSD output differential swing. Other common features include an adaptive post-amplifier offset adjust and a built-in self test generator and checker. Volume pricing is $99 for S19235 and $129 for S19237.
