Diode Laser Array Delivers 100W Continuous

June 2, 2005
The Cascades diode laser array, a water-cooled, 1 cm array, provides 100W of continuous-wave (CW) output power in the 790 nm to 815 nm range. It targets next generation diode-pumped, solid-state lasers for commercial and defense applications.

The Cascades diode laser array, a water-cooled, 1 cm array, provides 100W of continuous-wave (CW) output power in the 790 nm to 815 nm range. It targets next generation diode-pumped, solid-state lasers for commercial and defense applications. Employing a proprietary laser structure, the diode array has less than 1.5 μm smile and is said to deliver high brightness when configured in either a vertical or horizontal architecture. Other features include an 80% fill-factor bar, a drive current of 115A, compliance voltage of 1.85V, spectral width of less than 3 nm, FWHM divergence of less than 36°, and a beam divergence of less than 10°.
