According to the company, the availability of industrial temperature range lasers—these are rated at -40°C to +85°C—is critical as 10-Gb/s links migrate from indoors to the outside plant environment and as line card port densities continue to increase. The lasers incorporate an XMD-compliant, 1,310-nm and 1,550-nm micro-cooled transmitter family suitable for use in SONET SR1/IR1/IR2 and 10 GbE LR/ER interfaces.
