Said to deliver the highest performance and best jitter figure available, the DS25CP104 LVDS, 4 x 4 crosspoint switch handles data rates up to 3.125 Gb/s and specifies a typical jitter of 10 ps. Groomed for clock-and-data switching/routing in telecom, video, storage, and automated test equipment applications, the device offers a feature set to enhance signal integrity in XAUI (telecom) and SMPTE 424M (pro video) designs. It consumes 122 mW per channel in operation, and its inputs have a wide common-mode voltage range that accommodates LVPECL, CML, and LVDS signals without coupling capacitors. Additionally, the crosspoint provides 8 kV of ESD protection and 100Ω termination on the LVDS I/O pins. Available now in a 40-pin LLP package, price is $8.75 each/1,000.
