Claiming to set performance bars to new levels, the company’s latest single-channel RF mixers address high-dynamic-range applications in satellite communications, wireless base stations, point-to-point radio links, instrumentation, and military equipment. Covering the 10 MHz to 6 GHz range, the ADL5801 active mixer is said to have the widest available operating frequency. The ADL5355, ADL5357, ADL5365, and ADL5367 passive mixers operate across the cellular frequency ranges. Allegedly the industry’s first broadband single-channel device to enable down- and up- conversion, the ADL5801 is suitable for both transmit and receive signal paths. It achieves a 27-dBm third-order input intercept point with a 10-dB single sideband noise figure. In addition, the ADL5801 provides a conversion power gain of 1.5 dB. The ADL5355 mixer operates over the 1.5 GHz to 2.5 GHz frequency range while the ADL5357 operates from 500 MHz to 1.5 GHz. Both devices integrate IF and LO amplifiers. The ADL5355 and ADL5357 mixers achieve 27-dBm IIP3 with 8.1-dB power conversion gain and a 9.4-dB single-sideband noise figure. The ADL5365 operates over the 1.5 GHz to 2.5 GHz while the ADL5367 operates over the 500 MHz to 1.5 GHz frequency range. Removing the IF amplifier allows the mixer to be configured for use as either an up- or down converter. Both provide a 31-dBm input IP3 and 7.1-dB SSB noise figure.
