Primed for set top box and television apps, the E4005 and E4002 are heralded as the world’s lowest power, high-definition (HD) compatible silicon tuners. The E4005 low IF compatible tuner consumes less than 140 mW and the E4002 zero IF tuner drains less than 130 mW. The E4005 employs a programmable multi-band RF filter that reduces impact of high level far out-of-band interferers, particularly high-level VHF Band II signals interfering in the UHF band. It also exploits the company’s patent pending DigitalTune IP, allowing it to be configured in software to support global digital TV standards. The E4002 is a zero IF output only pin and software compatible version of the E4005. Both tuners are available in a 32-lead 5 mm x 5 mm QFN. Elonics Ltd., Livingston, UK. +44 (0) 1506 402 360.
