Radio-Only Transceiver Allows Customization to Optimize RF

    June 20, 2013
Radio-only RF transceiver module transmits data in the 433, 868 and 915 MHz ISM frequency bands at rates up to 152.3 kbps.

The Lynx DP1203 Series radio-only RF transceiver module is designed for wireless transmission of digital data at rates up to 152.3 kbps. Operating in the 433, 868 and 915 MHz license-free ISM frequency bands, the series is equipped for applications requiring full-control of the radio channels and configuration, without the need for a discrete RF design. The module has a maximum output power of +15 dBm and a receiver sensitivity of –111 dBm, rendering a typical line of sight range of 2 to 3 miles at +15 dBm with typical monopole whip antennas, depending on frequency. All transceiver configuration registers are available to optimize the RF link for the application with an external microprocessor through a 3-wire interface. The module also includes the ability to adjust the radio on the fly to improve the link quality through RSSI and FEI features. The DP1203 Series transceiver modules are suited for complex wireless networks involving high speed data rate applications, including security systems, home and industrial automation, process, access and building controls and home appliance interconnections.
