Receiving LF Antenna Transponder Coils Raise Sensitivity

Feb. 7, 2014
Receiving transponder coils for low frequency antennas capable of reaching a sensitivity of 75 mV/µT in low frequency around 125 kHz.

The KT11835 and KTZ1030, part of KOA Speer’s new KT series of receiving transponder coils for low frequency antennas, feature precision tolerances of ±2%, 3% or 5%, inductance at 125 kHz between 1 mH~12 mH (KT11835) or 1 mH~7.6 mH (KTZ1030), and an operating temperature range between -40°C to 125°C. Due to their unique construction, neither the electrode nor the land pattern disturb the coil flux in KT series transponders, rendering a sensitivity up to 75 mV/µT in low frequency around 125 kHz. Other construction features include four metal plate electrode terminals and a strong resistance to vibration, shock and the substrate bend test. With their high Q, excellent sensitivity and resistance to impact from dropping, KT series transponder coils are ideally suited for automotive, transportation, agriculture, medical, and consumer markets, in applications such as security systems, RF-ID, medical engineering and logistics tracking devices, as well as immobilizers, TPMS-systems and keyless entry/start for the auto industry. Both the KT11835 and KTZ1030 transponder coils meet EU RoHS requirements and are AEC-Q200 qualified. Lead time is 10 weeks.
