A new thermoelectric cooling system has been developed that is said to have the ability to cool the most advanced Intel Pentium 4 processors and new AMD K8 processors. The AC4G CPU active cooling system addresses both heat and noise problems. Its heat pump cools processors to 26°C when running typical office applications, allowing tolerance for hot spots while preventing condensation. By running fans at slow speeds under normal operation, the AC4G reduces PC case and CPU fan noise, only operating fans at full speed when the CPU is stressed. The AC4G’s heat pump continues to provide cooling power, even when fans are operating at slow speed. There is no hardware modification or software necessary, and the device is powered independently from the PC. Pricing is less than $120. ACTIVE COOL, Ashkelon, Israel. +972-8-678-1771.
