Version 2.0 of the company’s Signature high-performance signal analyzer features up to 30 times faster operation speed, increased demodulation bandwidth, improved IQ vector output, and improved amplitude accuracy. Also known as the MS2781A, the instrument is now compatible with the company's MG3700A Vector Signal Generator, providing engineers with an advanced solution for measuring complex RF and microwave communications systems, including 3.5G and 4G. Operating over a 100-Hz to 8-GHz frequency range, the instrument has demodulation bandwidth of 50 MHz and amplitude accuracy of 0.65 dB. Other specs include an intermodulation distortion (TOI) of +23 dBm, displayed average noise level (DANL) of less than -147 dBm in a 1 Hz bandwidth, and amplitude accuracy of less than 0.65 dB. For digital modulation analysis, the instrument can measure error vector magnitude (EVM), carrier leakage, and I/Q imbalance, without a separate computer. It has less than 1.25% EVM for many common QAM and PSK signals. A unique feature of the analyzer is its ability to provide live update viewing of MATLAB-processed measurements. The MS2781A is priced at $49,500. ANRITSU COMPANY, Morgan Hill, CA. (408) 778-2000.
