The SMPS (SupraCap) series of encapsulated stacked capacitors targets high-performance applications requiring T- or B-level reliability. The parts are available with high T-level reliability up to 120 µF and in standard B-level reliability up to 270 µF. Meeting Mil-PRF-49470 standards, the capacitors have very low equivalent series resistance (ESR) and equivalent series inductance (ESI). They suit use in I/O filters of high-power and high-voltage power supplies as well as in bus filters and dc snubbers for high-power inverters and other high-current applications. All operate from −55°C to 125°C. The capacitors are available with through-hole or surface-mount leads. Across the capacitor family, lead time is 12 weeks for B-level parts and 26 weeks for T-level parts. Pricing for the SMPS capacitors depends on size and quantity ordered and ranges from $5 to $300.
