Now offered in standard inch shaft and coupling sizes, the T-Line 40-mm series of incremental rotary encoders are compact, 40-mm diameter (1.57 in.) encoders that come standard with an integral 2-meter cable. They provide output resolutions up to 1024 counts/revolution in an IP54-rated housing and require a supply voltage of 4.75 to 30 V dc. As a result, they are suited as a feedback device in most light-to-medium-duty applications in the material handling, packaging and printing industries, among others. The TVI40 solid-shaft encoders are available with 1/8-in. and 1/4-in. shaft sizes. The THI40 hollow-shaft encoders are available with 3/16-in., 1/4-in. and 5/16-in. shaft coupling sizes. The TSI40 recessed hollow-shaft encoders are available with shaft bore sizes of 3/16 in., 1/4 in., 5/16 in. and 3/8 in. shaft couplings. The T-Line 40-mm series incremental rotary encoders are also available to accommodate 4-, 6- or 8-mm shaft applications. PEPPERL+FUCHS, Twinsburg, OH. (330) 486-0001.
