Laying claim to being the most accurate, the RV-3029-C2 and RV-3049-C2 real-time clocks (RTCs) in ceramic SMD packages achieve a time-keeping accuracy of ±3 ppm maximum at room temperature. Reportedly, this is equal to a time deviation of less than 2 seconds per week. Over a temperature range of 0°C to +50°C, the frequency deviation is still within ±5 ppm maximum. Temperature compensation works over the extended range of -40°C to +125°C. The RV-3029-C2 and RV-3049-C2 are the first components to use the company’s smart temperature compensation, which allows maximum time accuracy while keeping current consumption at a minimum.
