Well-suited to PCIbus data acquisition and control applications, Model PCI-WDGCSM watchdog timer card continuously monitors PC functions and, on a fault, automatically generates outputs that can be used to initiate relay or logic-level reset or generate alarms. Especially targeting Windows 95/98 users, the card can supply an interrupt prior to watchdog time out (programmable from 4 µs to 30 minutes) that causes a user-provided interrupt service routine to perform a graceful shutdown of Windows so files are not corrupted during re-start.
