The company’s AZ770 subminiature HVAC relay has been approved by VDE and comes in SPST and SPDT configurations. The relay has a 5A, 250 Vac, 100,000 cycle UL, and now the VDE rating comes standard with Class B insulation. Due to an 8 mm creepage distance, the AZ770 has a very high dielectric strength of 5,000 VRMS and a 10 kV surge withstand from contact to coil. A coil measuring 200 mW comes with gold plated contacts and an epoxy sealed cover. This relay is useful for HVAC applications where lightning induced surges are a problem. With VDE approval, the AZ770 is suitable for both European and U.S. control applications. Pricing starts at $0.64 each/1,000. AMERICAN ZEITLER INC., Aliso Viejo, CA. (949) 831-5000.
