Suitable as a power source for communications, data server/storage, and workstation applications, the SSQE48T07120 DC-DC converter offers efficiencies up to 93%. This DOSA-compliant sixteenth-brick supply provides 12 V dc at 7 A with 100% of full rated power available at 55°C, and 7 amps at 70°C using only 200-LFM airflow. The converter also can withstand a 100-V input transient for 100 ms, meets EN 60950 basic insulation requirements, and is UL94 V-0 flammability rated. Additional features include a wide-range 36 to 75 V dc input, the ability to start up into pre-biased loads, and no minimum-load operation. Protections include: hiccup-mode overcurrent, output overvoltage, input undervoltage lockout, and overtemperature shutdown. Interface and trim capabilities include: remote sense, remote ON/OFF (positive or negative logic option), and +10%/-20% output voltage-trim ranges with industry-standard trim equations. Approvals include UL/CSA 60950-1, EN 60950-1, and IEC EN 60950-1. The unit’s low profile of 0.374 in. (9.5 mm) reduces airflow shadowing, facilitating improved cooling for downstream components. Evaluation models are usually available from stock. POWER-ONE INC., Camarillo, CA. (866) 513-2839.
