New Mettec 19" aluminum rack cases include removable front panels, which can be detached from the case while it is still in the rack, whereas other rack cases have to be removed first. The front bezel includes comfort handles that are said to make loading the case into the rack easier. The front panels are recessed to take membrane keypads and external construction consists of die-castings and extrusion profiles with flat top and base panels, leaving no visible fixings on the front or sides of the cases. Fitting into a rack is via mounting ears incorporated into the bezels, which are available in 1U, 2U and 3U sizes.
