The C12 nickel-copper fabric for EMI shielding eliminates the flaking of other nickel-copper woven fabrics. The material, which represents a mixture of extremely durable polymers, survives harsh environments such as high salt concentrations in the air. The firm’s plating process provides superior adhesion of the metals to the nylon. The C12 material consists of a layer of nickel on top of a layer of copper, both of which cover a nylon woven fabric. The gasket provides increased durability and galvanic compatibility with a range of materials, including yellow chromate and clear chromate, aluminum, steel and zinc. Shielding effectiveness is over 105 dB from 20 MHz to 2000 MHz.
