China is emerging as a large manufacturer of CRT-based TV components, says Daniel Yang in iSuppli’s "Market Watch—China," (March 31, 2003, Vol. 2). He notes that the rapid growth of China’s color TV and PC monitor industries is spurring demand for flyback transformers and other special components used in CRT-based systems. In fact, China has become the world’s largest flyback transformer manufacturing base. This nation is already the world’s largest color TV producer, with an output of 42.35 million units last year and a one-year growth rate of about 30%.
