Providing transient voltage protection in SLIC applications, the C-Rated SIDACtor Q2L comes in a chip-scale QFN package measuring just 3.3 mm x 3.3 mm. According to the company, the Q2L is the industry’s first chip scale package SLIC (subscriber line interface circuits) protector designed to meet the 500A rating for a 2x10µs GR 1089 waveform. The device offers the same performance capabilities as the company's DO-214 Pxxx1SCL protector but in a significantly smaller footprint. When used in place of programmable SLIC devices, the SIDACtor eliminates the need for additional components such as programming-pin capacitors and series resistors. Additionally, the fixed-voltage protector is available in various Vdrm/Vs values to accommodate varying SLIC interface-card voltages. LITTELFUSE INC., Des Plaines, IL. (800) 999-9445.
