Expanding the SiBar thyristor series are bi-directional transient voltage surge suppressors providing an expanded range of available voltages and lower capacitance to help protect high-speed ADSL/VDSL modems, Ethernet and Power-over-Ethernet, and other high data rate communications equipment. The devices comply with standards such as GR-1089 Core, ITU K.20/K.21, IEC61000-4-5, FCC part 68, and UL60950. Parameters include voltage ranges from 6V to 400V, capacitance values as low as 12 pF, a maximum leakage current of 2 µA, and a minimum hold current of 150 mA. The devices are available in surface-mount SMB (JEDEC DO-214AA) and SMA (JEDEC DO-214AC) packages. Prices range from $0.15 to $0.42 each/10,000. TYCO ELECTRONICS LTD., Menlo Park, CA.
