The Arcolectric 4500 magnetic proximity sensors use Hall-effect technology to provide solid-state power switching and control signaling. A permanent magnet activates the switching circuit. The unit measures only 39 mm x 21 mm x 10mm and is designed for installation behind solid, non-ferrous panels. The sensors can directly switch lamps up to 75W and a unique cross-switching technique reduces switch-on stress by 70% compared tomechanical switches. All 4500 series switches are available with normally-on and normally-off switching, with options for refrigerator lamp/fan changeover switching and dc output for appliance-control applications.
