The Strikesorb 40-3000, 40-4000, and 40-5000 medium-voltage surge protection device (SPD) modules provide continuous protection from over-voltage and other transient voltage activity while meeting the requirements of the IEEE C62.11-2005 standard. The

The Strikesorb 40-3000, 40-4000, and 40-5000 medium-voltage surge protection device (SPD) modules provide continuous protection from over-voltage and other transient voltage activity while meeting the requirements of the IEEE C62.11-2005 standard. The modules consist of a single distribution-grade metal oxide varistor disk measuring 40 mm in diameter in environmentally-sealed aluminum housings. The Strikesorb 40-3000 provides a maximum continuous operating voltage of 2.55 kV with a rated voltage of 3 kV. It features a nominal discharge current of 10 kA and a residual voltage of less than 10 kV. The Strikesorb 40-4000 provides a maximum continuous operating voltage of 3.4 kV with a rated voltage of 4 kV and specifies a nominal discharge current of 10 kA and a residual voltage of less than 13.5 kV. With a maximum continuous operating voltage of 4.25 kV with a 5 kV rating, the Strikesorb 40-5000 provides a nominal discharge current of 10 kA and a residual voltage of less than 16.5 kV.
