Using a patented design, the WMX series audio transducers feature a compact design with a sound output of at least 85 dB at 10 cm. Weighing 9g, the transducers measure only 25 mm in diameter and 12.5-mm high. The specifications and design of these transducers is said to make them well suited for a wide variety of automotive applications, particularly as a warning device. The new devices have a voltage rating of 5V, (6V maximum), and a rated frequency of 770 HZ. Coil resistance is stated as 30 ohms, ±7 ohms. The devices are dip-solderable and washable and operate over a temperature range of -40°C to 85°C. Other features include a continuous output, login-interrupted beeper effect, and chime output with external circuitry.
