For use in harsh applications such as oil and gas exploration, production, transportation, heavy equipment, and factory automation, the Positek X111 intrinsically safe, linear variable inductive transducer position sensor is ATEX certified to EEX ia IIC TA standards (TA = -40°C to +80ºC), which is equivalent to US Class 1, Div 1, Groups B, C, D. The component is said to be the most robust, intrinsically safe linear position and displacement sensor in the 50 mm to 800 mm measurement range. Calibrated for the user’s specific measurement range, the sensor promises to be highly linear and repeatable. Other features include a variety of mounting configurations, EMC protection, either a 0.5 to 9.5 Vdc or a 4 to 20 mA analog output signal, and rugged stainless steel bodies with sealing between IP65 and IP68, depending upon the cable or connector options.
