Promising to eliminate bit errors in mobile systems using FireWire, the company's FireWire High Flex Round and Flat Cable Assemblies have been tested beyond 10 million cycles in rolling flex motions on a bend radius of 50 mm. They also have been tested beyond 20 million cycles in rolling flex motions on a bend radius of 20 mm. Maximum cable length depends on the frequency and required attenuation of the cable. The maximum length is calculated from the attenuation value of the cable during flex. Assemblies are available in stock lengths of 2m, 3m, 4.5m, and 7.7m, and the company also offers the ability to customize a FireWire cable assembly to meet specific requirements. W. L.
