Available in an eight-pin MSOP, the MOI-2000 clock oscillator IC generates frequencies from 2.5 to 20 MHz with 0.8% absolute accuracy over initial tolerance, temperature, and voltage variations. This performance is comparable to ceramic resonators, yet the MOI-2000 offers more reliable startup, greater ruggedness, and lower power consumption. Requiring no external parts, the oscillator operates over the commercial temperature range from 3-, 3.3-, or 5-V supplies. Units are available for 5- to 12-MHz operation over the military temperature range. Typical current consumption is 0.9 mA at 10 MHz and 3.3 V. Pricing is $0.47 each per 1000 for commercial-grade units with 2.5% tolerance.
