For those high-tension apps, the AHR series ac and dc current transducers measure nominal currents up to 2 kARMS, extending the existing family's range of 100A to 1 kA. The split-core transducers combine Hall-effect technology and signal conditioning in compact cases measuring 174 mm x 86 mm x 54.1 mm. They offer a choice of primary current measurement ranges from 500A to 2 kA, standard output types of 4 mA to 20 mA, 0V to 5V, or 0V to 10V, power supply range from 20V to 50V, and large sensing apertures for non-contact measurement, i.e.,104 mm x 40 mm busbar and a 32-mm cable versions. Other features include an absolute accuracy of better than 1% of nominal current, bandwidth from dc to 6 kHz, operating temperature range from -40°C to +70°C, and true RMS computation for non-linear loads.
