Designed for instrumentation use between 1 MHz and 100 MHz, the Model A5 distribution amplifier exhibits a phase stability of less than 10 ps/ºC. Isolation at a 5-MHz input frequency is 120 dB. Phase noise is 165 dBc/Hz at only 100-Hz offset. The Model A5-4 has one input and four outputs, is Eurocard size and operates from 24 vdc. Applications range from telecommunications network synchronization distribution to standards laboratory frequency reference dissemination. The amp is designed to be hydrogen maser-compatible, which carries the benefits of lower level quartz, rubidium, GPS and cesium frequency standards. Uninterrupted operation is assured with a seamless switch to a provided 24 vdc battery backup input.
