Providing system speeds up to 40 Gb/s over eight differential cable pairs, the company’s InfiniBand DDR cable assemblies promise to improve signal quality and lower overall costs. Based on the DDR specifications by the InfiniBand Technology group, LaneLink DDR InfiniBand cable assemblies target server storage applications including SAN switches, routers, server storage racks, and RAID devices. The cable assemblies include a unique paddlecard, offering better signal integrity over the previous edge card, a PCB straddle-mount connector. The PCB receptacle employs a die-cast frame featuring unitary latch posts and screw attachment to the PCB. Multiple latching versions, including squeeze, lanyard, and jackscrew are also available.
