Designed for industry-standard eighth-brick dc/dc converters, the company’s expanded line of heat sinks feature a thin-fin geometry to improve thermal performance. In addition to keeping things cool, thinner fins reduce pressure drop, which reportedly improves system airflow and lowers fan costs. The components come ready for mounting with interface material pre-applied. Models are available in both lengthwise and crosswise airflow directions and in three different heights. Available in December, prices start at $2 each/1,000 with samples available upon request. AAVID THERMALLOY LLC, Concord, NH.
