Chiseled for DDR3 memory-module applications, the CAT6095 12-bit, digital-output temperature sensor is available in an ultra-thin UDFN package measuring 2 mm x 3 mm and 0.55 mm in height. Compliant to JEDEC specification JC42.4, the device provides a ±1°C temperature sensing accuracy from +75°C to +95°C and ±3°C from -20°C to +125°C across the device’s entire supply voltage range from 3V to 3.6V. It measures and records temperature approximately 10 times per second with readings compared to three trigger limits stored in its memory registers. Readings are retrievable via I2C and SMBus interfaces with over- and under-limit conditions signaled on the open-drain EVENT pin. Pricing for the CAT6095 is $0.35 each/10,000.
