Promising to ease interface apps, the FM Series membrane-switch keypads replace multiple mechanical switches, soldered wires, and cable assemblies with a compact, single mechanism. They are available in both illuminated and non-illuminated configurations. Dot-illuminated models are available with 12 or 16 keys and non-illuminated models with four or 16 keys. Both models include adhesive backing for mounting and actuating domes, which offer tactile feedback. With a nominal operating force of 1N to 6N, the components specify an operational life of 1,000,000 operations minimum. Stroke distance for illuminated models is 0.5 mm to 1.2 mm and 0.4 mm to 1 mm for non-illuminated models. Both illuminated and non-illuminated keypads handle 20 mA at 24 Vdc and specify a dielectric strength of 250 Vac minimum for one minute. Operating temperature range for all is +5?F to +122?F.
