Thanks to their low-profile ceramic package, the K30 series surface-mount clock oscillators give design engineers more flexibility in implementing timing-control circuits in space-constrained applications. The devices' low profile and low power consumption suit them for such applications as PDAs, notebook PCs, routers, switches, 802.11 wireless networking systems, digital cameras, and other portables. The K30 parts feature operating voltages of 3.3 V for the K30-3C and 5.0 V for the K30-HC. Frequency ranges are available from 8 to 67 MHz, with stability to ±25 ppm. At 25 mA, maximum current consumption is 67 MHz with a standby current of 10 µA. The oscillators have a standard operating-temperature range of −10°C to 70°C. An industrial temperature range version is available for −40°C to 85°C operation. The ±25-ppm stability is applicable only for the −10°C to 70°C grade. The K30 devices are based on a vertically integrated manufacturing process that ensures high quality and reliability. Their ultra-miniature ceramic package measures 5.0 by 3.2 by 1.0 mm. Typical pricing for the K30 series oscillators is less than $1.20 each in quantities of 5000 pieces, depending on the version and the frequency selected.
