Suppressing over-voltage spikes caused by lightning and power line surges, TLPxxM series of transient voltage suppressors is well-suited for providing primary level protection in set-top boxes, as well as ISDN and analog telephony circuits. The devices are fully compliant with CCITT K20, VDE0433 and Bellcore TR-NWT-000974 standards and provide fast bidirectional crowbar protection with maximum repetitive peak pulse currents up to 100A and closely controlled breakdown voltage. Maximum leakage current is 5 µA, breakover voltages are up to 270V, capacitance is a low 150 pF max., and minimum holding current is 120 mA.
