The latest line of PolySwitch circuit protection devices provide resettable over-current protection for bus and truck wire harnesses employing 24V electrical systems. Seven components in the line offer hold-current ratings from 0.5A to 10A with a maximum fault-current rating of 100A. Maximum operating voltage is 32V for all devices and maximum operating temperature is +125°C, permitting their use not only in both passenger compartments and engine housings. Additionally, the devices pass testing to the AECQ200 standard and are ROHS/ELV compliant. The devices sport through-hole construction and do not need fuse holders for installation. Prices range from $0.22 to $0.46 each/10,000. TYCO ELECTRONICS LTD., Menlo Park, CA. (800) 227-7040.
