Clock Oscillators Extend Battery Life In Portables

Two new HCMOS clock oscillators are designed to provide longer operating life in battery-powered consumer products, portable equpment and instrumentation. The ultra-low voltage 5X7 HCMOS clock is available at 1.6V and 20 mA with a frequency range of 30 to 70 MHz. The low current 5X7 HCMOS clock features a supply current as low as 3.0 mA at 2.7V or 3.3V with an upper rating of 4.6 mA at 5V. Frequency range is from 4.0 to 30 MHz. Both clocks offer a jitter specification of 1.0 ps rms. These Series CS devices have a standard frequency stability of ±50 ppm and come in a 5 mm x 7 mm package with a low profile height of 2.0 mm.
