The Model CVS575S-500, a 500-MHz, voltage-controlled SAW oscillator, reports low-noise and low-jitter performance with a true sine wave output. The RoHS-compliant component comes in a 5 mm x 7.5 mm x 2.5 mm SMD package and specifies a phase-noise figure of -135 dBc/Hz at a10-kHz offset. It exhibits no sub-harmonic and the second harmonic is typically -14 dBc. Other features include an operating temperature range from -20°C to +70°C and operation from a 3.3V power supply. Target applications include frequency translation, test and measurement, avionics, point-to-point radios, and multi-point radios. Pricing for the CVS575S-500 starts at $45 each in volume.
