The XYZ-Axis Electrically Conductive Tape 9713 maintains an electrical connection while bonding surfaces on high-frequency electronic devices. The tape features a 3-mil, pressure-sensitive acrylic adhesive loaded with conductive fibers attached to a kraft paper backing. It offers low electrical resistance and is said to be remarkably durable through temperature and humidity cycling. The tape offers a lighter, thinner, and less-expensive alternative to mechanical connectors. Unlike mechanical-fastener solutions, it eliminates gaps that could leak RF emissions, and there is no risk of the corrosion associated with connecting dissimilar metals.
