Designed to withstand substantial vibration and shock, the PX209 cable-style and PX219 connector-style transducers promise consistent accuracy in small, stainless steel cases with either 0- to 5-Vdc, 0- to 10-Vdc, or 4- to 20-mA outputs. Both components employ a four-active-arm bridge sensor consisting of a micro-machined diffused silicon diaphragm, proprietary thin-film media and dielectric isolation barriers. Other proprietary technology allows the components to offer temperature compensation from -20°C to 80°C. Additionally, wetted parts are said to be impervious to most fluids and gases. Pricing starts at $195 each. OMEGA ENGINEERING INC., Stamford, CT. (203) 359-1660.
