Targeting high-speed I/O applications, the 0.5-mm pitch HQCD and 0.8-mm pitch EQCD cable systems and the HHSC JTAG interfaces and EEDP edgecard interfaces promise to meet any signal-integrity specifications. They are manufactured with 38 AWG coaxial cable with a dielectric constant of k=2.1. Suitable for applications requiring cable lengths up to one meter, the systems can withstand flexing up to 40,000 cycles and provide bend radii down to 2.5 mm or less. Solder joints are fully encapsulated and a variety of standard locking and latching options are available. SAMTEC, INC., New Albany, IN. (800) 726-8329.
